​New York Freemasonry in Lebanon


The first New York-chartered Lodge was the Syrio-American Lodge # 1, formed in 1924 by returning American-Lebanese immigrants. It was followed by New York Lodge # 2 in the same year. With the exception of one Lodge originally erected in Syria, Ibrahim El Khalil Lodge # 1904, 10 Lodges are currently operating In Lebanon and 2 remain dormant. 

Currently there are close to 600 New York Master Masons in Good Standing in Lebanon.

The Grand Lodge of New York chartered The District Grand Lodge of Syria-Lebanon in 1956 with RW Khaled Tabet as its First District Grand Master.

  • Turbol Lodge # 1909- Chartered in 1949 - Operates in Arabic - Tripoli, North Lebanon
  • Lebanon Lodge # 1910- Chartered in 1955 - Operates in English
  • Ani Lodge # 1911- Chartered in 1960 - Operates in Armenian - Beirut.
  • Three Pillars Lodge # 1912- Chartered in 2003 - Operates in Arabic - Zahle.

  • Veritas Research Lodge - Chartered in 1993- Operates in Arabic - Beirut

In addition to the Master Mason Lodges, there are 2 Royal Arch Chapters operating in Lebanon both under the Grand Chapter of New York.
